California Doodle Rescue Reviews - Streamline Results

Do not use this company! We have a child who developed severe allergies to dogs, and we were put in a situation where we felt like we were forced to rehome them since they can barely come inside the house as his allergies have progressively gotten worse over the last 2 years. Suzanne from California Doodle Rescue reached out to us from one of our Facebook posts, mentioning we were looking for a new forever home for our Dogs. The initial conversations were great. They seemed to answer all of our questions and concerns and reassured us that our dogs would be rehomed together. That, for us, was an absolute must and a dealbreaker if it wasn’t going to happen. Our dogs were picked up from us earlier this week, and on their website, they had them separated with nothing noting that they would be going to a home together. The only reason why we went through a service like this was so that they could stay together instead of splitting them up.

We immediately reached out to them and let them know that this was a dealbreaker for us and that we would like our dogs back so we could find their forever home for them now. The whole operation after this turned from friendly and helpful to deceitful, and no response and money driven. Some of their reps actually blocked our number and would not answer our phone calls or texts. Whereas before, when they were trying to get our dogs, they answered nearly instantly and responded to each text message within minutes. Now that we have been left in the dark for over 48 hours with no response, we started looking at our paperwork and discovered that only one of our dogs was signed to a surrender form, and the other they took had no surrender paperwork signed for her. Which, at this point, they are holding unlawfully. Also, my wife signed this paperwork, but I am the legal guardian for the other dog, as they were mine before our marriage and are actually included as mine in our marriage agreement. We mentioned all these things to them, and still, days later, NO RESPONSES.

We went as far as to put in a fake dog rehome request, and guess what? The phone rang, and when they found out who we were, they immediately hung up. DO NOT USE THEM! Notice how all the reviews here are from people who bought dogs from them, not giving them up.

We have now brought on legal counsel to go after this crooked operation and get our dogs back from them.

UPDATE: After them saying they would get back to us with a resolution, this company California Doodle Rescue has now blocked our numbers and will not return a phone call.  Shame on them!
